Teachers shouldnt be outside the lines! Stick with the approved lesson plans. Parents should have the right to see what is being taught in class and teachers should be fired if they are not going by the approved lesson plan.

I fully support putting cameras in all classrooms. The teachers are public servants just like police officers. If a teacher is teaching from the lesson plan, there shouldnt be any issue. Further, If a kid gets lost trying to do his homework, he could pull up the days video and get a refresher.

Remember this when some “wokies” in charge don’t want something taught that you may care about. These doors tend to swing both ways.

I can’t wait for the superwoke revolution and the coming laws that even mentioning that religion is a thing will get you sued by a private citizen.

You see… if you don’t involve the State in enforcement, no one’s Constitutional rights are violated. That is how it works now.

You seem to be missing my point.

A vague law where any busybody can sue the teacher and the school if they feel that the vagueness of the law has been violated in anyway is a way to create chaos, fear and dismissal that gay people actually exist in this world.

This is not a law that is enforced by the State… but by mercenaries.

The fact that culture war has blinded people to the dangerousness of this is quite depressing.

I wondered if anyone else noticed the pattern emerging here…vaguely written laws giving “enforcement power” to anyone at all is becoming a staple of GOP “governance”.

People should ask themselves WHY they are doing this…and remember…these laws don’t pop out of the ether. They are rigorously tested by groups like ALEC precisely to make sure they create the desired results.

PS no @komobu children do not, in fact, “belong” to their parents. Parents are the trusted guardians and should be the first stop…but they do NOT “own” their children.

We can debate what that means but children themselves have rights.

I think you should be able to see why the concept of parents owning their children is a dangerous one?
