Children never needed to be told its OK to be heterosexual. If the homosex illness is as innate, natural, and healthy as you say, they can figure it out the same way heterosexuals have figured it out for millions of years.

Outside of societal pressures, they would. It wouldn’t even be an issue.

It’s not the sexual preference that creates the problems. It’s societies reaction to it.

But how do they learn to handle race issues, or bullying issues or other difficult and sensitive things that they face? Professional development? Seminars?

What rock have you been hiding under? The research has pointed towards a combination of genetic and environmental factors for years now. And of course its abnormal. So is Heterochromia, but its also natural and not reasonable to discriminate over.

I think 1) because someone (or group) has to be blamed for it and, relatedly, 2) if it’s genetic, then it’s difficult and unseemly to make sanctimonious moral judgments of it.
