The example that was given was just that…an example, as part of a thought experiment.

The poster used two examples HE made up as an analogy.

Do you know what an analogy is?

Do you know what thought experiments are?

It’s a tool to examine assumptions and spark discussion.

You really do not like to have your assumptions challenged, do you?

There are very few posters who have constructed as many rhetorical defensive fortifications as you have on these boards.

Might have to actually think tnt.

Show me where that says slavery started with Africans.

Take your time. I’ll wait.

And there are many internet know it all.

You’re the one that brought up African slavery.

You haven’t answered my question.

Where in that post did I state that slavery began with African slavery?

What
Are
You
Talking about?

Bringing up slavery in Africa is not the same thing as saying slavery started in Africa. You know this right?

There are none as know it all as me.

Doesn’t change the fact that you pretty much never expose your beliefs for examination. You hide them behind fortifications or aggressive deflections.

The answer is zero (0).

Not sure what “issue” you’re fabricating that you think I have.

Please try to keep up.

Same reply I gave to PnG:

Isn’t the fact that Robinson is black integral to his history?

I mean, maybe you don’t want cross lessons in math, but I don’t see how you can speak about robinson in any subject and not mention his race.

He never claimed African slavery was first. He said african slavery required a new construct to allow it to continue.

Not just “that school district”. Far too many kids need to take remedial math in college to be able to take college level math classes.

Lol…

Of course it is.

But it’s not integral to math. That was his point.

Nonetheless, I’d bet that not a single person reviewing Florida textbooks would balk at a word problem calculating the number of home runs Robinson hit, even if the problem went out of its way to stress that he was the first black to break the racial barrier in the Major Leagues. I’ll even go so far as to say that they wouldn’t nix a word problem that points out how often he was hit by pitches because he was black, and then calculated the ratio of HBPs per game.

Why did you bring up Africa?

I’m just questioning the use of the phrase ‘race card’.

I don’t think acknowledging Robinson was black is puling the race card.
