They didn’t lose miss the big kahuana in 2020.
I have a lot of confidence dems can rally behind a new candidate in 2024 and stomp trump.
Allan
The VIRGINIA Republican party.
To be clear, there was nothing shady, underhanded, or illegal. Unless constrained by law, a state party is free to set the rules for selection of their candidates.

They chose, not “protected” then. Got it.

COVID and Trump provided such a terrible resistance even the Dems couldn’t ■■■■ that up…although they tried very hard.
It’s not that they won…it’s that Trump was a putz.

And if he runs again in 2024, what is your prediction on that.
Rs really need to find new blood along with the dems.
Desantis v buttiegieg is intriguing to me.

Still haven’t looked up how poorly Buttiegieg does with an important voting block for Democrats I see.
Progressives are very united regarding school/teacher issues.
On Florida school isuues DeSantis is a fail.
Mess with someone’s child’s safety; the whole virus handling, and they won’t forget, and just can’t forgive.
Florida has so many kids in school. It seems new cities are growing there everyday, and a massive school system along with it.
On the issue of child safety in schools, and respecting teachers, DeSantis is considered a fiend by the majority in Florida.
I believe as well the medical professionals are not as Republican leaning today, again thanks to DeSantis’s virus handling.
The people of Florida have sided with school/teachers not Ronny.
Crist is workable for Progressives only because little Ronny is not.
A whole lot is gonna’ be happening over the coming months.
Crist is just sitting back watching DeSantis spin around like a top.
Right now, today, for Crist, less is more.
If Crist comes out hard today he loses the sparkle factor.
If he let’s Ronny flounder, and flail a bit more now, when he does decide to go whole hog down the road he will look fresh, and new by comparison.
If Crist himself decides he really wants this, it will be a brawl.
Crist is just sitting back, pacing, waiting to kick.
It will be close.
I don’t think Crist intends to end his career by losing to a young upstart Demagogue in DeSantis.
The Progressive movement, and teachers unions are closely attached, and I do believe DeSantis has lost teachers in Florida as well as medical professionals.
Crist doesn’t even need to reach out to these groups today as they are just there waiting to vote for him.

Who protected him?
The Florida Republican party.

The quote was “I think the single biggest factor in Youngkin’s win was the protection from a primary. I fully believe that a full on Trump Clone (clown?) Would have whacked him in the primary.”
How did the Florida Republican Party protect Younkin is the question.

Actually the bigger factor was McAulliffe, like Hillary, failed to see the trends that were happening within Virginia’s electorate and thus disconnected himself from many key voters.
Particularly, his messaging in the last days of the campaign, and who he chose to associate himself with, was awful.
Democrats have this incredible ability to ■■■■ away advantages.
These guys can lose one car races.
Disagree.
Actually he’s mostly correct. McAulliffe was leading in the polls until he put his foot is mouth and then added the other one for good measure.

Does. Two years form campaigning.
Let’s see if he becomes vp if Harris goes.
The city of south bend Indiana is 27% black.

They protected him from an open primary
I think the Trump clone would have imploded, and that gaffe wouldn’t have mattered.
You are talking about Virginia’s Governor Younkin right?
Virginia Governor candidate protected by the Florida GOP?
WW
Oh, Carp. Sorry, have Florida on the brain.
Yes, VIRGINIA’S party protected him from the primary.
Thanks WW.

You are welcome.
What @Supreme_War_Pig is talking about the VA GOP decided to pick their candidate based on a convention instead of allowing the plebes to vote.
