Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE)

That’s the whole point!

Everyone hates a growing Bureaucracy until it grows to allegedly reduce itself. I will gladly see it work.

… until it tries to eliminate it. then it’s bad

Hate! :joy:. No. Point and laugh at the irony of the department name and its creation. Everyday. If it works great.

Allegedly. For now. And then when it works great until then haha

They are no doubt working on that already,

Plus, you can’t establish new departments by proclamation

Trump has the White House and both houses of Congress and literally hasn’t even taken office yet, and already his failure is Democrats’ fault. :joy:

That would be as crazy as creating a department of Justice to stop crime in the other Departments, huh?

Well…

It wasn’t called department of justice of government crime. Again if it works great. Right now it sounds funny

Seriously though. Given Elon some free range is definitely a good start,

BUT

the only time in recent history the US government has actually accomplished anything like this was closing bases after the Cold War.

That required both parties facing the inevitability that “this must be done” and creating a bipartisan panel with both parties reigned to the fact that “we’ve got to do this and it makes more sense to acept what they say than to open up nit-picking and negotiations.”

Best way, (only way??) to do that is to vote more Dems out of office and send those tax-and-spend idiots home with their tails between their legs.

His entire business model depends on government spending. Both Tesla and SpaceX are huge recipients of government spending.

That’s fine. That’s his prerogative and a fine way to make money

But to pretend that this translates into him
Cutting government well is ridiculous

Again until he actually does it of course
