With estimates of 12 million illegals in the country now, perhaps it is time to establish a precedence of zero tolerance for people entering the country this way. Let them sit in camps for a while and return to let it be known that the only way to enter the US is legally, from now on.

So you can see that if last year 300,000 or so illegals were apprehended at the SW borders, even if this horde was 10,000 it would still only be 3% of the total of people apprehended at the board…that is people attempting to get in but are stopped. See the short term thinking. Some studies say we have 20 million illegals. Those mostly came one at a time. Now they are coming in organized and funded groups. What laws do I get to break?

Is that some sort of clown act? The point is not whether they want it but whether they are legally permitted to enter the country following procedures established under our laws. And they do not get ahead of those who have legally applied for entry just because they are willing to break our laws

No…it’s not a clown act…whatever that is. I like the idea because it keeps them in place, under control, and then they have their hearings. What I should have said, is make sure they really want it. If they are willing to sit in Tent City for 3 or 4 months, and then they get approved…OK…I see they want to be here.
The reason for illegal immigration is the immediate nature of the act. You get here illegally you are here…I don’t want that. If you come, apply for asylum and sit for 4 months in a tent, and then a judge says ok…you meet the criteria…I would be ok with that. Sorry I wasn’t more clear.

Ok. I mistook that for sarcasm. Sorry. I just disagree. The requirements are not how much you want it, but your background and that you wait in line and follow our laws. The legitimate use of asylum is that you are being singled out and prosecuted by your government, not how much you want to be here.
If they didn’t follow our laws and don’t qualify for asylum (mostly they wont) its important that the message goes home that this is not they way. Either singly or in a caravan.
