Last I checked we are a member of NATO… which is mostly in Europe. As a member of NATO security in Europe is our concern. As of now, Europe is providing at least as much, if not more, for Ukraine (as they should). Right now, both Europe and the US can get away with checking Russia with weapons and money. Should Ukraine fall, what do you think happens next? Do you think Russia stops there when Putin is already saying the same sorts of things about the Baltics as he did about Ukraine? Heck, now he’s even claiming the sale of AK was illegal and that its still Russian territory because of that. Should we ignore those things? Stop Russia now, on the cheap really, and we won’t have to find out.

She’s still far more conservative than anything Dems would have to offer. I’ll punch her chad if she’s the GOP candidate in November. If they manage to run Trump out of the race somehow, that’s what will likely be my GOP option in November. But yes, at this point in her political development, I would no longer categorize her as a TEA party candidate.

Haley is a good politician. She’s not the crit-lib that people say she is when you have to hate her.

I’d rather have her than Biden, if that were the options.

I wish she could be governor of my state.

I just see Trump leaning more to the political direction I want my president to be. And even with that, there are elements of Haley’s presidential campaigning that I prefer over Trump. It’s just that Trump embodies more of the political positions we need in this country.

“Democrats love Haley” because she’s their only hope of not having Trump as our next president. Were they re-polled if Haley were running against Biden, they would hate her. We saw that same dynamic with McCain a few cycles back.

It’s how the left picks the republican candidates. They picked Trump when he first ran, thinking Hillary would beat him, it backfired. The left picked Romney, McCain, Trump, and now Haley, only this time not because they think they can beat her, but their TDS is so strong.

The left pumps up every republican candidate they think they can beat, then turn on them after they get nominated with their media, internet, etc.

Now, since they can’t control Trump, they are so power hungry they resort to banana republic tactics like putting their political enemies in jail or prosecuting them.

It will come full circle, and they will howl. Eventually the right will do to them as they have done to the right, and they will howl. Personally I will be against it too, I want none of it from either side.

In a choice between Biden and Haley, so would a vote for Biden. One of those two will win. I’d rather have Haley, in spite of the Deep State implications in that vote.

Note: If Haley is the GOP candidate, we failed in the primaries. It’s too late when it comes to the general election, and we have to do the best we can with the crap-hand we’ve been dealt at that point.

I was playing along with the post I was responding to. It was a recognition of Haley’s shift to deep-state support. But like you, I believe she would be far more fiscally responsible than any (D). Smaller government. Strong defense. And she would come without the scandal drama that Trump is sure to bring.
