Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi issued a joint statement Monday evening; demanding “equal airtime” immediately following President Trump’s national address regarding border security.
“Now that the television networks have decided to air the President’s address, which if his past statements are any indication will be full of malice and misinformation, Democrats must immediately be given equal airtime,” posted Schumer on social media.

The Democrats’ comments come hours after President Trump announced his decision to address the nation from the White House Tuesday evening; discussing national security, his border wall, and the partial government shutdown.
