Have not graduated yet, but will be a Manufacturing Engineer.
Also have spent the majority of the last 15 years in IT working with engineers, mostly in manufacturing environments so I can say with confidence that again once a machine is configured, software settings applied, and manual settings set that once a machine has been configured as above and shut down properly, when powered up 99.9% of the time after post startup testing is done the machine WILL retain all settings. There is no absolute and you know that so your little “gotcha” attempt falls flat.
Why do you think manufacturing has gone to robotics and machines…easy answer is again…repeatability, especially with optical scanner systems. Unless someone bumps the scanner eye it will consistently scan correctly time after time after time.
