You commented on VAT.
no i didn’t. i commented specifically on the quote i posted
You wrote “Exactly. 1st thing i noticed. The VAT is about as high as their income tax. Plus a multitude of other taxes.”
no i didn’t. i haven’t commented on the vat at all.
The U.S government spend 6 trillion a year.
how much of that money is going into your pocket.

Was the interstate highway system built by fascists?
Hard to argue with that.
It was the only rational answer to that…ummm…question…
gooddad409: Ceasar: NJBob:Pretty much like most other people in Norway, without ostentatious displays of wealth.
And no one is taxed half to death.
Yes, taxes are insanely high there, but, I’m sure not to you…Pfffffffffffffffffffffffft!
To those who would pay little to no taxes of course they wouldn’t be insanely high.
A good many of the left want a socialist welfare state system like Norway in the hopes of transferring more money from the pockets of others to their own.

None, I’m one of the payers.

You’re not trying to take credit for the Interstates, are you?

It was built on a lie, that is was federal because of defense, when the fact is, the enemy can use the same interstates if we were ever invaded.
Or build it after they win because we were unable to respond to an invasion due to the lack of a surface transportation network.
I will NEVER understand why the left wants to submit to socialist slavery!
If not for themselves, their children! How could anyone do that to their own children?
I cannot understand it at all.
Building a highway is an example.
Government contracts to private industry to build infrastructure or repair existing infrastructure creates jobs.
The FHWA is perhaps the best example of how government should work (no credit to Mayor Pete) and they manage to do so in spite of constant interference by Congress. If the rest of the Federal Agencies operated with the purpose and effect that they do, we probably wouldn’t be having this discussion.
You do realize we have sales tax here too, right?
Not Federal. If you want to compare Norway to your State, fine, but let’s keep it apples to apples, okay?

Oh, like that makes a big difference.

How many wars have we lost now because the country we invaded was inaccessible and had poor or no infrastructure?

Yet, the Autobahn helped us defeat Germany.

Of course it does. Why would you think it doesn’t?

None. We lost them due to political interference and a hostile Media.

No, it helped us quicken the end of a defeated country … by a few days.
The difference is?
