Are Democrats purposely derailing this only because Republicans started it under Biden or Obama, or did Democrats start it back under Trump or Bush?

I don’t know if I’m for a shutdown but I know I’m for getting rid of Schumer as senate minority leader.
For the first time, I’m of the mind that we should shut it down. Let’s see what shakes out.
I strongly believe some small number of DEMs, including Schumer, don’t want to leave the chance to see what shakes out in Trump’s hands. For that reason, I believe we will see the 8 DEM needed votes to pass the CR.
