As I stated back in 2016, it was a foolish mistake to handle that one the way they did. McConnell took a gamble that there would be a GOP president. That may have helped him in the short term, but as can be seen now, it puts him in a terrible position long term.

Oh, it is constitutional. The ethics of the situation are a bit different though. I was in the GOP back in 2016 when Mitch decided to play games with the SC, and thought it was unethical back then. Now that he’s pulled this, I think it’s doubly unethical.
But hey - these types of games, together with the Trump nomination, are why I got the hell out of the GOP. It doesn’t look like they’ve learned one damn thing.

I doubt any of them are ethical. However, the behavior I’ve seen with the democrats ever since Obama was elected has turned a very sharp corner for the worse.
Used to be both sides would come to the table to negotiate, a gentleman’s agreement was to be respected.
