Defensive interview to Trump Campaign

OK. And? Did Trump listen?

Obama wanted to go public with Russian interference during the summer of 2016. Obama, always the fair one who was IMO far too inclusive with Republicans, brought Republican leadership into his decision making. Mitch McConnell said “No”.

Basically you’re asking “Why didn’t Obama save Trump from Trump?”.

Russian collusion has already been established, along with Saudi, Israelie, and Emirate collusion. These jokers were willing to prostitute the country for anything they thought would help them.

No one that they could trust that Cart Page had a background that, if not questionable, had at least been questioned by the FBI? What is the point of saying watch out for Ruskies but we don’t trust you enough to tell you who they are?
Either it was incompetence or a set up by the FBI, or rather by people like Strzok and Page who had taken control of the FBI.

“Look out for crooks” but don’t tell them who they think the crook is. That’s nonsense.

Wait,… so you want the FBI to inform Trump - who was a private citizen at that point - that someone he hired was being investigated?

Why would they do that? How did they know Trump wasn’t involved?

Do you think when the FBI investigates someone, they should tell that person’s boss?

Makes no sense.

Obama point blank told Trump not to hire Flynn

And how do you know the FBI briefings didn’t name names?

Look both ways when you cross the street…oh, forgot to tell you there was a truck right where you were stepping.

If you looked both ways you would’ve seen that truck. That’s all on you friend.

You would have screamed bloody murder if the FBI revealed details of their investigation of Hillary Clinton directly to her while it was still ongoing and prior to its conclusion. And rightfully so, because that is insane.

It is beyond absurd to expect the DOJ and/or the FBI to start naming names to a candidate for public office, without knowing with 100% certainty that the name they name is in fact guaranteed to be a spy for a hostile foreign government. To reveal details of an ongoing investigation before conclusions have been determined. Who are you trying to fool with this silly argument?

if you looked both ways then you would have seen the truck.

A campaign is supposed to have the resources of the FBI and CIA combined? No way.

The FBI had been involved with Page before. All they would have to do is tell Trump the facts. It is useless to say “look out for spies”. Utterly useless.

A campaign is supposed to give a **** about the people they have representing them. And time after time with these people it’s been made clear that claiming allegiance to Trump was pretty much the only qualification needed. That is how you end up with a series of liars, money launderers, and other crooks throughout.

No. They’re supposed to have common sense. Trump’s campaign clearly had none of that.

Um… that didn’t happen

What didn’t happen?

Uh huh. Utterly useless to tell a campaign that there is a high probability that Russia is looking to infiltrate their campaign. Which would then put them on notice to engage in better vetting of their people and any associations with Russia. Which would have sussed out Page in a nanosecond. Without revealing any details of an ongoing investigation, of which no conclusions had yet been made. You keep running with your victimization canard.

This right here Doug is more example of the carcinogen that is a Trump supporter. You are again trying to attack the DOJ and FBI as institutions, by demanding that they should have acted in a completely and totally inappropriate fashion. That they should have named people as “possible spies for Russia” without 100% confirmation and proof of such. That they should have revealed the fact there was an active investigation. That they should have turned over partial information to parties that they did not yet know what roles they could have been playing in the investigation. It is the epitome of insanity to expect the DOJ or FBI to behave in such a fashion. And yet here you are admonishing them for acting appropriately. You guys are a cancer on this nation.

They wouldn’t have had to name anyone as spies. Indeed, they have not subsequently shown that there were any such spies involved in the campaign. They could have at least offered what facts they had. Vetted them? What better vetting than to have the FBI tell you what they knew. The campaign was supposed to vett these people better than the FBI or CIA?

You’re proving my point. You expected the FBI or CIA or DOJ to reveal details of an ongoing investigation to people with whom they had no clue what roles they may eventually come to play in said investigation. That is not only completely inappropriate but highly absurd.

Who else should LEO’s notify about the details of ongoing investigations? Should they reveal the details of an ongoing investigation of racketeering by the mob to the captains? How about tell corporate executives about an ongoing investigation of their company’s CEO for insider trading?

You’ve gone so far beyond supporting Trump because you agree with his stance on immigration here, it is insane.

So you are saying that the FBI had the assumption at the time that Trump might be connected to Russia in some nefarious way, so that it made no sense to tell him specifics to look out for? Well, the FBI has had nearly two years to substantiate such a theory and come up with zero.
All you are arguing is basically that those in control of the FBI at the time were already highly prejudiced against Trump. Something that, at least as far as the leadership, seems to be increasingly plausible.

Nope. I did not say that at all. Go re-read my post. It does not say that, hint at that, or portend that in the least.

Nope. You made that up as well. You do know what a strawman is, right?

I am saying, yet again, that it is insane to expect the DOJ to reveal the details of an ongoing investigation to anyone, and especially so when they have no idea where the investigation will lead them, and to people with whom they have no idea what role they may or may not play in the ongoing investigation.

You know it, I know it, anyone with even a hint of intellectual honesty knows it. The shame is that you would even pretend like this is something that should have been done, in your desperate attempt to further erode people’s confidence in American Law Enforcement and our institutions. You continue to validate my belief that Trump and his supporters are a cancer on this nation.
