Deep state strikes again

The association was founded in 1982.

They really cant do anything though right? Just apply pressure

Did you read that on their website, or had you heard of them before?

I’m asking in good faith - I’ve never heard of this organization before, their website appears to have been created within the last couple of months, and preliminary google searches haven’t turned up any mention of this organization earlier than a few months ago.

It is in their website in the “about us” area.

Most people would never have heard of them, except for people like me who are Federal Judiciary wonks. They are not high profile by any means.

Correct.

They have had a successful track record however, particularly on the issue of judicial pay, which is the original reason the association formed.

Their pay is determined by congress. So are we looking at a quid pro quo here?

It’s a lot of folks in that field who dont like what barr did

They (the ex DOJ people who wrote the letter) just want to maintain the integrity of the system. Revealing the tampering with documents and frauds against the court in just the one FISA investigation could damage peoples faith in that system. We certainly don’t want any more revelations like that, and yet Barr is poking his nose into what was done to sustain the Russia collusion hoax. Something must be done. This “interference” must be halted.

And its not possible that they talked at all before he tweeted.

Perhaps they are trying to find out how an openly biased anti-Trumper managed to get herself vetted and named foreperson of the jury in a Federal court case?

revise a sentencing recommendation that the judge doesn’t have to follow? yeah, that’s horrendous.

The meeting doesn’t appear to be about Barr’s amended recommendation. The last quote from them would seem to make it more about Trump’s tweeting about politics in the courtroom which apparently they don’t want exposed. Says something about how they don’t succumb to public pressure… if that’s true… what’s the emergency?

Without Barr looking into stuff like this, it would not even be an issue. Barr must resign!
Or he could do like Sessions and recuse himself from anything that might embarrass Democrats.

Listen to the squealing when the swamp starts being drained. You go Bill. Keep up the great work. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

The defence didn’t put up any objection to her being on the jury

Did she lie to the defense?

What business does Bill Barr have looking into the failure of Stone’s attorneys to kick her from the jury pool?

Stone has an absolute right to appeal this decision, but the Attorney General of the US intervening on behalf of a friend of the President is unacceptable and if the circumstances did not involve Trump the reaction would be completely different and I would be in agreement.

Trump should fire every one of those judges. How dare they question King Trump and his Royal Consulate.

Is this really draining the swamp in tour opinion,? Ismt it kind of the opposite?

they did of course object to a woman who’s husband works in the office at DoJ responsible for bringing charges in the first place… the judge thought that was fine.

Um…the defense vets jurors too, and they let this one on the jury.

It’s not in Barr’s purview to look into how a defendant’s private lawyers fail to do their job.

And the DOJ doesn’t select the jury pool either.

You guys are setting yourself up to allow Trump to have whatever power he wants to have because now you are completely buying into the notion that anyone that complains about anything Trump does is simply a “Deep State agent” out to “get” Donald Trump.

And you don’t see how totally dangerous holding such a notion is.
