DEEP STATE SHUFFLE:  DOJ Refuses to PRESERVE COMEY’S Work-Related Emails from Private Account

The Department of Justice refused to cooperate this week with new calls for the agency to preserve former FBI Director James Comey’s work-related emails exchanged using a private account.

“Despite the fact that Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz discovered former FBI Director James Comey used a personal email account for work-related communications, the Justice Department is not taking steps to preserve those emails,” writes Sara Carter.

“There is nothing but complete silence about why the FBI has failed to take steps to preserve records responsive to DCNF’s request,” added Judicial Watch attorney Michael Bekesha.

Bekesha filed a motion earlier this week in a DC court that asked the FBI to officially retain the correspondence, saying the documents should be held on permanent record.
