You need to read up on All County Building Supply and Maintenance that was being referred to above…because you’ll want to be retracting this bogus claim after you do.
Or not- the article was a New York Times article…so you’ll slam it as being Fake News instead…
In 1992, The Trump’s incorporated All County Building Supply and Maintenance. It was a corporation that was owned by Fred Trump’s children that acted as a middle man in purchasing necessary equipment for the Supply and Maintenance of the various Fred Trump properties.
All County Building Supply and Maintenance would purchase supplies, equipment, fridges, washing machines, dryers etc at market price and then sell those things to Fred Trump at a markup
Not only is this scheme self dealing and an illegal transfer of wealth specifically to avoid paying estate taxes, the increased costs were also used to justify higher rent increases on rent stabilized buildings.
So… want to make that claim that Trump lost just his own money still?
Man all those people who voted for him because he was a good business man got conned. I mean the really got conned. I wonder what else he has conned some of his believers into believing.
That’s the brilliance of the con here. For him to truly be held accountable, Everyone who was conned would have to have a redemptive moment of humble clarity that they were In fact conned, and none of them are ever going to do that.
Remember that time during the 2016 campaign when Candidate Trump said that he would fund massive infrastructure with debt and if it didn’t bring the prosperity that he expected that he would go to the creditors of the US and tell them to take a haircut on the debt.
That was truly when I knew that he had no idea what he was talking about.
This is basically old news. Real estate is a commodity and there was a time when he was over invested and had trouble covering his debts.
That was well known.
No one based their vote on that. He was elected on the issues that others wouldn’t touch.
This is not old news. Nope. Most people knew he was a bad businessman. But this is worse then bad.
Oh those issues others wouldn’t touch? Donnie’s not touching them either. Just talks about it to keep his true believers believing. Fascinating to watch.
Nonsense. There was a TV show interviewing him ages ago about the period after the real estate downturn and losses in ATlantic City when he couldn’t get anyone to lend him money. Real estate is a commodity and goes up and down. Remember the savings and loan crisis?
This is all old news.
When real estate revived in value he recovered.
And it has nothing to do with his being President.
