I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve always been an issues voter.

As an issues voter it comes down to the one who most closely matches my ideology. In 2000 and 2004 that was Bush. In 2008 that was McCain. In 2012 that was Romney. In 2016 that was Trump.

It is a simple observation that Trump owns 500 companies employing 22,000 people. That is in stark contrast to Trump haters claiming that Trump owns nothing of substance. The numbers don’t lie.

He doesn’t have 22,000 employees. We don’t know how many of those 500 LLC’s are operating companies. You can open an LLC and put a lemonade stand in it.

You can open an LLC and do nothing but get a piece of paper saying its yours.

He has 500 LLC’s which does not automatically translate into 500 businesses. Given his terrible financial acumen, it makes sense for him to try to cordon off the liabilities by forming LLC’s for every project.

It’s the smart way of doing things. Example, when I first got into Radio in the 1990’s. Companies would hold dozen’s of radio station in a single corporation. Now, it’s like trump. Each radio station (or station combo) is a seperate corporation (or in trump’s case llc) that is held by the parent company.

Why? Is it against the law for one of his companies to have “russian money” that needs to be paid back and he isn’t personally liable for (under current law wouldn’t need to be on his disclosure sheet)?

From his financial disclosure forms we can see a range of debt that Trump is either partially of fully responsible for. Otherwise his companies are not public, and doesn’t need to be disclosed.
