New York City officials are permitting more than one million students to “skip school” this week; allowing the children to take part in a nationwide “Climate Walk-Out” to combat global warming Friday morning.

“.@NYCschools will excuse absences of students participating in the #ClimateStrike on Friday 9/20. Students will need parental consent. Younger students can only leave school with a parent,” posted the school district’s official Twitter account.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio doubled-down on his doomsday climate change prediction this week; warning his fellow Americans the planet has just “10 years left” to prevent a global ecological disaster.

“We have ten years to save the planet. TEN YEARS. Today’s leaders are making decisions for our environment that our kids will have to live with. New York City stands with our young people. They’re our conscience. We support the 9/20 #ClimateStrike,” posted De Blasio on social media.

Former Big Apple Mayor Rudy Giuliani slammed De Blasio last week; saying it “Breaks his heart” to see his progressive policies roll-back decades of low-crime and homelessness.

“Homelessness was gone and homelessness should be gone,” Giuliani said. “There’s a way to look at homelessness that these liberals just don’t get. When I see a city with homeless people, I see a city with a mayor who doesn’t give a damn about people, because if you give a damn about people, you don’t let them lay on the street.”
