I find this to be somewhat humorous. Owners of DC establishments are there to make money. If I’m an owner and one of my employees refused to serve anyone, or otherwise inconvenienced them in any way, they would be fired on the spot.
I anxiously await to see how much of this silliness persists before workers realize they aren’t the ones holding the cards.
Food workers in Washington, D.C., pledged to refuse service and cause other inconveniences for members of the incoming Trump administration when they dine out over the next four years.
I found and clicked on it on the Fox News website. I’ve had mixed success with Fox News articles, telling me that I needed to subscribe. Of course I won’t do that.
Interestingly, I was able to access it on my first try. I find that clicking on the link I provided that now I can’t.
Over time I found that persistence pays off with Fox News. If I’m interested in an article, I will go back several times over the course of a day. Eventually I’m almost always able to access it.
Edit:
Just clicked on the link again and this time it worked.
But employees have no skin in the game. They seem to believe that anyone cares how they feel towards a prominent figure. They are expendable, as they will soon come to realize.
“I think my tip average from Republicans—at least ones that I or a coworker has recognized—is close to 30 percent. With Dems, I’m surprised if it’s over 20,” he told the Washingtonian, adding that Republicans tend to be lower maintenance patrons as well.
Are these DC idiots basing their little plan due to legitimate religious doctrine?
Or are they merely being bigoted whiny sniveling poor sports who can’t handle the fact that the media and polling outlets all lied to them when they claimed horrible had a chance?
It’s fine if certain restaurants don’t want to serve Republicans. They don’t have to. If it’s just specific waiters and not management, report this to the manager. So now the country is going to wind up with Democrat restaurants and Republican restaurants? Fine. Fits with the current degree of division.
More than likely, some journalist drummed up some story based on a few hot heads right after the election.
