That is how they end up never revealing what it was when it could have actually been a weather balloon.
Potentially??? Nice hedge word there.
We will get an alien skeleton from Area 51 before we get any more information on what this latest fiasco/diversion was.

Sounds like that spy balloon had lot of equipment on it.

Good. Then I am in a position to ask for evidence.

And saying we “analyzed” that there were balloons crossing the continent sounds like a lie he might have tried.

They don’t come down at anywhere even approaching the speed at which they were fired. People are still occaisonally killed by them nonetheless however.

Why do you say that?
When you shoot a bullet upwards, it comes back down with almost same speed as when it was fired. When it comes back down, it’s still lethal and can kill the person who shot it or others. If it’s fired perfectly straight into the air, it will be limited to terminal velocity on the way down because it’s not traveling in an arc.
I’m no physicist, but how could that be true? I mean the part about it coming down at almost the same speed as when it was fired.
I don’t think it will fall faster than 9.8 meters per second ^2 without propulsion …
