The President unloaded on Vermont senator and potential 2020 challenger Bernie Sanders at a rally in Pennsylvania Thursday night, saying the Democratic socialist is “one crazy dude.”
The Commander-in-Chief was discussing a potential list of re-election opponents when he mentioned Sanders; adding “you’ve got to hand it to that guy.”
“I’ve got to hand it to Bernie. I saw him up there the other day, his hair is getting whiter and whiter and he’s getting crazier and crazier. And I saw him, ‘We’ll stop Donald Trump, we’re gonna stop him!’” said the President.
“I looked at my wife and I said, ‘You know what, you got to hand it to that guy,” Trump added. “Man, that guy he doesn’t quit. And that’s okay. Crazy Bernie. He is one crazy dude.”
