CNN recently ran a story about a young woman who tested positive midair on a transatlantic flight. The woman was triple-vaxxed, wears mask and a face shield, and tests herself obsessively but got COVID anyway.
She had hoarded eight COVID tests and ended up locking herself in an airplane bathroom and then quarantining in Iceland.
At this point the Omi-Cold variant has become dominant. Biden turned down purchasing hundreds of millions of test kits in October, so there is no way to test everyone with minor cold symptoms.
Do the long lines of people with sniffles really need counseling instead of COVID tests?
Have Democrats and the media created tens of millions of fear-driven hypochondriacs?

While I do agree that the Biden administration screwed up when it comes to testing… one cannot complain about that and then in then have the very next thought be that it is no big deal.
At this point there is no way to stop the Omicron variant from spreading. For the vast majority of people who test positive, they have nothing worse than a cold or mild flu symptoms.
Logically we should declare Omicron a natural immunity booster and save the tests for people who really need them (people with serious symptoms or those with existing health conditions).

So… the complaint about the Biden administration testing is all performance.
It seems to me that what is being proposed here is that nothing more be done and let the chips fall where they may.
So when there are a ton of people all sick at the same time… no complaints about the economic impact that January and February are going to take. No more complaints about that impact on the supply chain. No more complaints about schools shutting down because teachers and bus drivers are sick.
It is what is wanted.
Would even Activision make a Covid Hero game?
And with all the jabs and boosters would it end up playing like Heroine Hero on South Park?

The biggest threat from Omicron is that millions of critical workers will be forced to stay home for long periods after testing positive even if they have little or no symptoms.
The White House recognizes that reality, even if they are still going through the motions of testing and isolation.

There’s no way the current number of infected is correct even though I had the virus early on in 2020, two weeks ago I came down with mild cold symptoms.
For curiosities sake I went to buy a covid test neither CVS nor Walgreens had it they told me to go online and book a test date which they were one week backed up I said ■■■■ it since I already started feeling better and a week out would likely test negative regardless. I assume I am not the only one who couldn’t buy a test kit.

Logically the vaccine mandates make zero sense at this point. The vaccines are pretty much useless at stopping the spread, and the symptoms from Omi-Cold are comparable to those from a booster shot.
Declare the Omi-Cold variant an immunity booster and be done with it.

The woman is a total loon and probably a hypochondriac and/or a germophobe who revels in her fear of getting sick or is truly covid scared out of her wits. 
Most likey she was sitting in the plane before she got an itch in her throat & tested in the bathroom so seriously what good did it do her or anybody on that plane for her to quarantine for 5 hours in the bathroom? None, zip, zero nada! She had already exposed a plane full of travelers so why cause urinary tract distress or infection.
The woman is crazy, totally outrageous behavior and needs be cited for something and it certainly isn’t heroism! JMO

Yes, the availability of tests is limited at this point. Their primary use should be to help figure out who gets antibody treatments, but if you are under 65 and in good health you are unlikely to qualify for the treatments regardless of the test results. The exception, of course, is in New York City, where healthy young people with sufficiently dark complexion get to the head of the line for the treatments.
A downside to tests is that you and your family may have to go through the worthless hassle of quarantining. Given that hospitals are encouraging COVID-positive health care workers to go back to work, it is clear that they government realizes the risks from Omi-Cold are tiny. Many infected people with mild cold symptoms can’t get tests so the new variant will continue to spread rapidly so quarantining has no real value.
At this point the biggest health problem is an irrational epidemic of fear fueled by government officials and media scare tactics.

On its surface, the fact they she isolated in the bathroom to avoid exposing others is commendable… I mean unless you were one of the people lining up to use the bathroom… but more importantly she likely has some anxiety issues and OCD and she really should seek out professional help. Overall I feel bad for her.

The omicron wave is going to hit fast and hard. It should peak by mid January.
Thankfully it is less severe than other variants… especially if one is vaccinated… but having a lack of concern on the effects of a lot of people being sick at the same time is quite silly.
The only way to really end the covid crisis is to vote out every single Democrat in the country. Dems are more dangerous than the pandemic!
Covid19 has run its course across the globe and is sputtering to and end with the common cold like Omnicom variant, but Democrats will not let go of their emergency doctorial control.
