Does a 4 day/week improve productivity?

Increases employee productivity and well-being

That’s because they are working smarter, not harder. Researchers in Iceland have also found that a four-day workweek without a pay cut improved workers’ well-being and productivity.

Capitalism can be a bitch, what do you propose be done about it?

In San Diego county shacks west of the i5 are well over a million and they get bought in a matter of days as soon as they are placed for sale gutted and rebuilt.

But yea during these last couple of years the wealthy have become wealthier the poor poorer and the middle class smaller.

Not that it’s surprising we have been on that trend line for a while Covid just sped it up.

It comes down to the parental support in my opinion, I was homeschooled in the 90’s for middle school.

I asked to attend regular HS and my parents were for it but that first year transition was rough in 9th grade. The district was cool and let me do a hybrid of half my classes in campus the others from home for the first year.

There was no framework for this at the time, my teachers at the local high school had to agree to let me attend and send my grades directly to the district. None of them denied the request, the difference though is that I had a very involved mother who created the structure at home and made it happen due to her persistence.

Never wealthy but my mom was a stay at home parent, sacrificed a lot of but it was well worth it.

Ver disturbing at the zeal the tyrants showed while doing so.

Save as much cash as you can and look into foreclosures. Fix it up and sell it or stay…Thing is you really need to pay cash as the corporations are gobbling them up.

When parents are involved in their child’s education I can also see that as a benefit.

I’m also happy to see a lot of parents push back at the curriculum their children are being taught and getting more involved.

The negative is a lot of children missed out on socialization which is really important in development. Children who’s parents aren’t involved are going to fall way behind and who knows what that will lead to…

All my life I’ve gone my own way. Do not get me wrong, I’ve had help from many smart people and from those who loved me. That said, after all of these years, I’ve witnessed outcomes to honestly know…right from wrong. Many have been startled to the core by the events of the last two years. Speaking for myself, I’ve had enough of it.

No one knew what was going on and for the most part, early on, all that was being propagated was that many of us are going to die. Observing those at the top, sticking infected elderly into uninfected nursing homes and thus murdering thousands…you have nothing to say, that I want to hear. Observing those at the top, keeping box stores open but closing so many small businesses around the nation that have gone bankrupt, created shortages and ruined a working supply chain…you have nothing to say, that I want to hear.

At the beginning of this pandemic, my business was deemed essential and I was allowed to remain open. Being respectful of a danger, doing everything humanly possible to remedy negative outcomes is all one can do. Beyond that…get a grip, take a deep breath, comfort those you love, provide for those you’re responsible for and give your best efforts in all that you do but…that’s all you can do.

This fear mongering that’s been perpetuated by so many, many sources, have exposed themselves for who they are, how they operate and what their goals are. Now know this, you have NOTHING TO SAY, THAT I WANT TO HEAR!

Robert Frost described my thought on going forward, perfectly; two roads diverged in a yellow wood…and I…I took the one less traveled by. Now let’s go Brandon. :sunglasses: :tumbler_glass:

Here’s a fun little consequence of our failed president’s dumb policies.

From foxnews.com…headline “ Termination of unvaccinated health care workers backfires as Biden pledges help amid COVID surge”…

Sub head… “More than 30,000 health care workers are out of jobs in New York alone due to vaccine mandates” …

The first paragraph…” President Biden is deploying military doctors and health care workers to bolster hospitals amid the spike in omicron variant cases. But in the last few months, thousands of health care workers across the nation have been terminated over refusing to comply with vaccine mandates, leaving health care providers in the lurch with staffing shortages while bracing for more patients.”

The people being terminated are the health care workers we are all throwing parades for and giving standing ovations to last year…he’ll most of them it seems logical have probably had the bug and have natural immunity…

Later in the same article…” We have a massive nursing shortage," Eric Smith, the statewide field director for the New York State Nurses Association, told the New York Daily News last month. “We have a vacuum in the double and triple digits all across the New York area.”…Omicron has been detected in every state, and various states keep breaking records for daily coronavirus cases due to the spike. COVID cases have increased by 48% over the past week across the nation, and the average daily cases sit at 182,682, according to Johns Hopkins. Hospitalizations for the omicron variant, however, have so far been lower than other variants, with hospitals nationwide seeing a 2% increase in patients.”

This is what happens when you turn power hungry know it all know nothings lose…you get stupid policy resulting in stupid outcomes…which should be the motto of the Biden presidency.

Micro managing workers never works.

Before, during or after covid.

No change in my work culture due to covid.

Allan

And how is that turning out for you…listening to so-called experts?

Happy New Year!!!

And you are correct the ability to defend the indefensible coming out of Washington DC seems to have dried up since January 20, 2021.

What was the purpose of that?

They don’t “work in their fields 20+ years”. They “work” in academia

Over 5 days working from home? No.

 Are you Bjork?

Experts exist outside of academia, you know that right? Like lots and lots of them.

Yeah, they aren’t college professors.
