Currently, the USA has had 93,416 COVID-19 deaths compared to Australia’s 100 deaths as per the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 dashboard. Why is there such a discrepancy in the per capita death rates between the two countries?

He did wave a lot of regulations. And resources don’t matter if you have regulations/laws/protocol to follow.
Example. If a person tests posative, can you put their name, phone number, credit card into a data base and know every place that person has been in the week, and know every other person who was in those locations as well?
The government has that capability today. They just didn’t want the citizens to know they do.
You can already use publicly available gps data to track where people are.

And if they did use it as SK does, it would be shutdown by the courts in a heartbeat. If it is available and being used right now in the USA – those responsible should be charged, tried and spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
Some people yes. But a lot of it is NOT publicly available. It might be on some apps, but for those companies to release the information SHOULD take a court order in this country.

La is a state, not a country, they couldn’t shut down their own borders in January and ban all travel from the US and Abroad, nor did they have the testing capacity of S.Korea much less the ability to order mandatory testing of the population.
Gee, no kidding? 25m/330m 13.6:1 population difference and CCPV hit you in the summer, not in the midst of the fall/winter cold/flu/respiratory virus season.
If SK is your ideal feel free to move there.
Southern Australia is almost 2/3 through our autumn. Since my original post the USA has recorded 1,456 COVID-19 deaths; Australia has recorded 0 deaths.

It hit you in mid summer, not during the cold and flu season.
It’s least likely to be transmitted during warm weather because people naturally practice social distancing during the warmer months.
You also had five months lead time to prepare.
