Court Upholds Bakery’s $32 Million Victory against Oberlin College over False Racism Accusations

Glad to see this award upheld on appeal. There should indeed by a steep price to pay for false accusations of racism and Oberlin College is rightly being held to account.

Terrible story.

In fairness the college was in a lose/lose position. It was really the students involved and the student body that screwed up big time.

In fairness, the dean participated.

The Dean participated and the school dropped all business with them. If it wasn’t just students

Witnesses who testified at the trial said Oberlin College Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo participated in the protests, handing out stacks of fliers for others to distribute.

Wow.
Oberlin college has like 3,000 students or so.
That act of race-baitng is gonna cost $1,000 per student per year for ten years.

Come to think of it, The college has 327 faculty so the verdict is $100,000 per professor. They should pay for it with salary cuts.

Everything is still going to be labeled racism though.

It’s going to take several of these for the wokes to get the message.

The school has yet to apologize for their part in the smear. If they had done so, likely punitive damages would have been significantly reduced.

Based on the students reports.

Agreed. What they did to that great little business is terrible. An open apology would have gone a long way.

Libs in academia see nothing but a person’s race and consequently racism in everything. It’s burned in their mindset.

Not doing it would have gone a lot further.

Ha ha ha

Well it did not .

Honestly small colleges are going bankrupt at a rapid pace,. They have been fir the pat 10-15 years (the internet generations like big campuses apparently.) If one more ends it would not be much of a tragedy.

Simply out of curiosity, ever go to an institution of higher learning? Or visit? Ever talk to faculty members at colleges or universities? You have strong absolute views.

Obviously.

Consequences of Woke.

This happened well before the ‘woke’ was the word of the day, but yes, this is an example of hyper awareness and sensitivity blocking out common sense.

No it didn’t. “Woke” is going on 150 years old. Maybe before you knew about it.
