Coup in Venezuela

At best it makes him an illegitimate president. I’m certainly rooting for his downfall. If I thought he was legitimate I might still I guess, but for different reasons.

Sorry. I’m glad they’re executing the coup. It’s also interesting watching Cuba and Russia act like they’re the good guys.

The claim of illegitimate election has yet to be adjudicated. It is currently at best characterized as “contested”.

Maduro was present.

It’s not a coup its a revolution uprising to oust an illegal socialist dictator being protected by the Cuban military who are running over citizen protesters in military style vesicles and Madura has killed hundreds of students and other protesters since the revolt began.

Lets pray that the Venezuelan people prevail and they restore democracy back to the country.

Probably true.

Maduro is ready to leave. The Russians are telling him to stay.

Will get worse before it gets better.

Deleted the back and forth trash talk.

Yes…Maduro is being controlled by Putin…

I love a good coup.

I think Maduro has to at least stay through “May Day”.

The Western countries really need to voice support for Guaido in the upcoming days.

Vladimir is watching!! :us::elephant::flushed:

I’ll defer to this guy’s expertise for now. I think he makes a pretty good case and yes, I have looked at most of the cited relevant articles in their constitution.

Funny how you didn’t mention Russia in this spiel. Putin sent weapons and Russian soldiers to Venezuela not too long ago.

Exactly, Allowing Maduro to stay is supporting Putin…

Maduro is Putin’s bitch.

Which is why Trump will be a big wet feckless noodle other than Twitter, just watch.

I think anti Maduro boycotted the election thinking it was already corruptred.

CARACAS, Venezuela — President Nicolás Maduro won a second term as president of Venezuela, a country in the midst of a historic economic collapse marked by soaring prices, widespread hunger, rampant crime, a failing health system and a large-scale exodus of its citizens.

Electoral officials declared Mr. Maduro the victor Sunday night, in a contest that critics said was heavily rigged in his favor.

In the capital and around the country, the turnout was extremely low, with more than half of voters not casting ballots, reflecting both a call from many opposition leaders for a boycott of the vote and the disillusionment of longtime government supporters.

It’s NYSlime take on it…one that I think FOX also echoed.

In 2028 Cubans and Russians send 24 thousand troops each to defend Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez against raging mobs demanding her overthrow to end social dictatorship that radicals wanted.

On bicycles, green new deal.
