Socialist superstar Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez raised eyebrows yet-again this week; telling a roomful of supporters that the United States should entirely cease production of “fossil fuels” due to their negative impact on the environment.
I agree with her. That should be the ultimate goal. It should be made as important as the race to the moon was. Why? It makes so freaking much sense. Of course that is why Trumplicans would oppose the idea and cll Cortex and people like her and me “confused”.
I am certain her projections are way too optimisitc nor do I buy into the “12 year” scare, but the move should be considered very seriously.
Fossil fuels are all finite.
Most are extremely filthy in production and highly poisonous in their use.
Most have huge negative impacts to our environments by acquiring them.
The Federal Government should not be in the direct business of providing subsidies to either the fossil industries or the renewable sector.
