Agree. The ability to disappear or edit content is a big problem with electronic media vs the good old days of print. I trust none of it.

They can even demand a physical examination, medical history and screen you for drugs. And if you refuse, they can simply not hire you.
What they cannot do is discriminate against you for a disability. But being unvaccinated is not a disability.

Interesting loophole there. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

Which is quite a socialist thing, yes? What the State of Florida is doing.
Has the vaccine been formally and/or given the full seal of approval by the FDA? My understanding itās still just under Emergency Use Authorization?
Well there is the carrot and stick argument. We have been doing the carrot thing for some time. Burgers, doughnuts, lotteries you name it. There are some that think it is time for the stick, businesses especially. If you run a restaurant and have a vaccine mandate in place, you can have stable staffing and a full restaurant with little risk of having to close down due to outbreak.
If there is enough demand for such a place you would face considerably less risk.
OTOH a restaurant may cater to the unvaccinated, and they might succeed in that model as well, but at higher risk.
I suppose it would be up to the individual business how they want to conduct their own business, yes?
For all intents and purposes it is a fully approved med, but full authorization should come in 30 to 60 days. Which will set up a lot of interesting scenarios.
What it isnāt is experimental. That ended in Phase I and Phase II trialing.

I voted employees and customers. The business can establish the rules for entry. Employers can establish rules for employment.
The VA is not a business.

This is the most important question? If something does happen to a person who can they sue?

You are, if anything, consistent. Good on you.

There has been insufficient effort with the carrot approach IMO.
You canāt force people or mistreat people who refuse.
My approach would be patience and transparency of the positive results for the vaccinated. It should sell itself.

This is why force is a loser approach.
An experimental drug, according to the NCI, isā¦
A substance that has been tested in the laboratory and has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for testing in people. Clinical trials test how well experimental drugs work and whether they are safe to use. An experimental drug may be approved by the FDA for use in one disease or condition but still be considered investigational in other diseases or conditions. Also called IND, investigational agent, investigational drug, and investigational new drug.
If it will work, whether it is safe to use. That is what Phase I and II, and perhaps III is for. All vaccines have passed this āexperimentalā phase.

The problem is the supporters and champions lost all credibility last year.
Trump could help.

I disagree. Respectfully. The NCI definition is irrelevant.

Oh, the carrot phase is definitely nearing an end. This Delta variant is going to bring out a lot of sticks, the question is, how soon?
No one is forcing someone to eat at a restaurant or fly in a plane, the individual still has a choice in the matter.

He needs uncensoredā¦then he could help.
Trump being censored is a bigger issue than the people who will not be vaccinated. IMO.

Have at it.
Might not go as you think.
India burned its Covid out on antibodiesā¦not vaccine.
Agreed he could definitely help, and we are now starting to see signs that the Conservatives in media and in office are starting to become more vocal advocates for vaccinations, which will help. But some folks are simply intractable in their beliefs.
And that is okay, if you firmly are against vaccination and are willing to deal with the limitations it may impose on your life, you have every right to have those beliefs.
