I am a PA, not a Doc. I specialize in Interventional Cardiology and focus on Intravascular Physiology and Imaging modalities.

As far as vaccines go, I can tell you that I went well over 9 months between my second and third injection and it hit me like a truck. There was still significant memory in my body of the antigen because I reacted big time. Fortunately, only for a day and I still did my thing that day, and was glad I got my third jab.

To me, this is all about risk and reward. What are the risks of being vaccinated vs. what are the benefits of it if you had prior COVID?

The risks are fairly small, we know of some rare side effects which are manageable with the mRNA vaccines, and more serious ones with the traditional vaccine but also exceedingly rare.

For the most part, you just get sore and maybe run a mild temperature the next day or so, although some experience it worse or longer than usual.

I don’t agree with 2 jabs for prior COVID patients, by the way, one jab seems to offer more than enough benefit.

What are the potential benefits? At the worst, a robust immune response and at best, almost super immunity. Plus the benefit of being vaccinated in the center of a global pandemic, because it is obvious that mandates are going to be more and more stringent both public and private.

That’s kind of scary because my 2nd shot hit me like a truck. What would a 3rd shot be like?

It was expected, but it didn’t last a whole day. Just body aches from about 10am to about 7 pm. Nothing a cold brew couldn’t handle.

Can you explain to me why you may get a fever , etc.

It is called reactogenicity. Mast cells and macrophages (of your immune system) are unleashed by the vaccine to attack not only the injection site (giving you pain and soreness) but can disperse and stimulate the central nervous system, which can release prostaglandin and cause a transient fever.

Nonsense, it isn’t up to them. It is perfectly Constitutional to enact public health mandates. Lower Court rulings mean nothing, there is ample time to work through the Courts and still be on the right side of things by January 1st.

Time and time again the SCOTUS has upheld the Executive Branch’s right to enact public health policies regarding vaccinations, this isn’t going to change this time. No matter the fever dreams of some who somehow feel this is “different”. It isn’t.
