Corporate Gun Control is The New Boogeyman

Rush brought up corporate gun control today, meaning if you own a gun you won’t be able to get a loan through a bank (lol), and liberal corporations will bankrupt all gun owners. This must be the new boogeyman to scare cons into voting republican! Oh, he also talked of civil unrest if trump is removed from office…

Where does it say an individual gun owner will be denied a loan! Bank of America is considering not lending to sellers selling military style and manufacturers producing military style weapons for public use…Stop fear mongering!!! You and I will still own and buy our guns…

Rush is a master at what he does.

 If that was true, why wouldn’t there be a bank like patriot mobile to come and take all that business?

There’s bank activism and there’s banks not wanting to lend to companies they see as opening themselves up to possibly huge civil liability. Not sure which is involved here.
No civil unrest. Why would any Trump supporter not be happy with Pence?

Close your wiki.

It doesn’t. It says they are denying loans to manufacturers.

How would they be opening themselves up to liability?

Wait I forget, are we supposed to let businesses do their own thing or not? It’s hard to keep track of all your “principles.”

Sure. You think a bank has principles?

That’s certainly a convenient misreading of my post! Never change, Sneaky.

No, I was asking you a question. Your post was rather simplistic.

I’ll humor you. No, a bank doesn’t have principles. A bank is not a person.

Now please proceed with your attempted socratic entrapment.

No entrapment. Bank of America claimed they were making a stand on principle.

Well I guess they were lying then. They should just be open about not wanting to service a volatile industry.

How is firearm manufacturing a “volatile” industry?

That’s not what Rush said, read the transcript…

Because to support firearms manufacturers right now is to support the murder of children – which is a risky proposition for any business. It won’t always be that way and hasn’t always been that way, but right now the overriding opinion of gun manufacturers (and owners) is that you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs…

People get squeamish when they loan money to people who calculate the number of murdered children they can tolerate – because when the tides eventually shift, people will come looking for answers.

I know, he’s wrong.
