You mean the ones who died during a lockdown? That was a pretty lame retort.

Define “lockdown”.

Why would I do that? It’s not my suggestion. If the states have questions they should ask the WHO what a lock down is. Sorry. They won’t be asking me. Their loss. :sunglasses:

How can we have a discussion if you won’t define your terms?

WHO didn’t start this thread.

I imagine one could hear Harris in the privacy of her campaign rooms:

"Poor people: If they can’t be used as props for us, what good are they? "

Admittedly, it’s just my opinion of what she might think out loud. But she’s no mother teresa.

I can only guess what they determine to be a lockdown. To me personally, I would call it any restriction of the free market imposed due to Covid. Is there exceptions? Maybe. I’m not sure. But the WHO has determined that the “cure” has caused more misery than the disease.

So what should we do about that?

That is an astounding lie.

The word has been in use for awhile now. Its meaning is now common knowledge… albeit with various degrees of severity. We know what the word means to an extent that we can have a conversation about WHO’s announcement.

Well, those “varying degrees of severity” are kinda my point.

I don’t know about where you live, but where I live, almost everything is open now.

Watch part of a baseball or football game. That’s a lot of people still out of work. A lot of places still don’t allow indoor dining and limit patrons.

Yeah, there are going to be a lot of people out of work for a long time, and for the most part, the government has nothing to do with it.

Are you planning a cruise anytime soon?

Seating is limited in restaurants here - but there’s never a shortage of tables.

The cruise lines are in lock down. So that would be no.

If they weren’t locked down, would you go for a cruise tomorrow? Next month? Next year?

I think you’ll find the answer to that will be no, for most people.

Yes. In the Spring. Going to Hawaii. Considered a cruise. I will be vaccinated by then.

A vaccine won’t mean a damn thing if there’s an outbreak on board and they quarantine the ship at sea.

But you’re welcome to take that risk, if you want. Just don’t expect everyone else to.

Many died in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and Texas. Where lockdowns and masks were made fun of.

Only one presidential candidate has promised to lock the country down again if elected.

Wait a minute…do we trust the WHO or do we only trust them when they give us the narrative we have already chosen to believe?
