I’m protected. Found out why everyone was buying up TP.

It was a full blown epidemic by January. They weren’t keeping the CDC and WHO out to keep from wasting theIr time.
The outbreak of Chinese Apologism is stunning. Sadly after the cheerleading for China over the trade war it isn’t at all surprising.

Maybe at your meeting you can ask what proffer means.
This is now a china vs us arugrment trump supporter will do anything not to blame their dear leader
Sealing the border before it left China would have prevented the global. Pandemic and economic collapse.
Letting the world know how severe it was would have given the reset of the world the necessary forwarnig enabling govts around the world to cut off passenger travel before it left the continent.
Quarantine and isolation is the only way to stop a disease like this from spreading whether you start with a single patient, a city, a province country, or continent.

So china should have stop 11 million people from moving around their country with hours of their first case.

No one’s apologizing for China.
I didn’t even mention China’s handling of the thing or the mistakes they made.
I’m descrying, after three months, the fact that there is still utter and abject ignorance over how to handle a pandemic.
The failure to understand that once a virus exists that is quite contagious and to which we have no natural immunity exists, no matter where in the world, it WILL get out, and that the solution is not simply containment but mitigation.
That concerted effort has to be applied, coordinated at the highest levels, to slow it until effective treatments and or/vaccines can be found.
The sooner the better.
The only two countries in the world that seem to understand this are Taiwan and Korea.
Yes China screwed us…but we also screwed ourselves…badly.
Hell the United States is probably behind the eight ball more than anyone because the way our system is set up we can’t have a national response.

Once a virus like this exists, it…is…going to get out.
It is a mathematical certainty.
My thread on returning critical mfg to the US was prescient and quickly trolled to death as a result.
Trump’s new campaign slogan should should be “Remaking America Together” with exactly that focus.
Bring as much of it to the US as possible. And the rest to a new American Economic Union formed with all of North and South America…
The combined economic power of this hemisphere could literally crush that of the rest of the world and put and end to every significant problem we have.

If we knew this was coming in January, why are all your friends accusing Senators of acting on insider knowledge when they dumped their stocks in February?

Right…if we crush China, a virus to which we have no immunity will never ever rise again.
The world will enter a new Golden Age of peace and prosperity for all with no one ever getting sick or old again.
Sigh…this is NOT an economic problem.
Eventually it yes, it would have but by then we’d have had more than enough lead time to prepare and have testing andPreformatted text a vaccine prepared before it got out of China much less spreading globally before any nation had a chance to prepare.
Ya no thanks on this union stuff
Eat your shale then and be left to the dust bin of history
We already have the framework in place with our existing trade agreements but Canada has so little to offer we’ll get along fine without you.
Not an economic problem? Absolutely hilarious!!!
They whole reason we have an economic crisis globally was China hiding the severity of the outbreak for their own economic interests.
The reason we lack the industrial capacity to have stopped it dead in it’s tracks or to prevent a panic over the lack of critical pharmaceuticals and medical devices is because we exported it to China over the course of three decades.
Thinking like yours is exactly why we’re in this mess right now.

If workers in Wuhan were paid a living wage, they wouldn’t have to rely on wet markets. It’s an economic issue.

It’s Trump’s bureaucracy.
He is the Chief Bureaucrat.
It’s his CDC.
To do with as he wishes.
And what he did was not direct it to clear the decks and get to work. Not give it direction or leadership. He said this thing was no big deal and let everyone practice business as usual.
