Just a week ago many were mocked for implying we were on the same track as Italy and would have thousands of cases soon.

Everyone who has been concerned from the start has been validated at almost every turn. And the people in denial find a new way to mock people in more shameful ways.

I stated, factually, that we did not know how this will play out and should not assume the worst. I stated that no, it has not killed millions of people and we didn’t know yet how bad it would be.
This statement was met with ridicule…that it was mocking the seriousness of this virus, that it I wasn’t taking it serious.
That was a complete misrepresentation of what I had said.
By panic, I consider projecting that the worst case of deaths of millions before it even happens to be panic, yes. We need to prepare to avoid the worst case but not assume it as if though it were true.

People have been saying over and over it’s about hospitals being overrun, and the danger to our parents and grandparents. But that is met with mocking and statistics that imply they don’t matter; if anyone is using mortality rates and statistics now it is people in denial.
