Two days before Italy went critical, people there were saying “We have barely registered a blip. Why’s everyone making a fuss?”

The government is only as competent as the people who run it.

Look at China, they literally built three hospitals to treat Coronavirus patients. The private sector can’t do that, only the state can do that through marshaling resources, it’s also not constrained by things profit.

I can tell you right now shutting down travel from China kept us from a worse fate.

It got everything rolling in the right direction…Just in case…

Over time with discharges of people who are well enough for home care that will not overwhelm the system.

I’m not asking for an apology. I’m simply pointing out that your opinion of Trump is just that. I’m under no obligation to accept your opinion as anything but that. I simply disagree, as do a whole lot of other folks. We will see in November how this all plays out.

I shall hope that there is a honest post-mortem when all of this is over. Every one of these occurrences is a learning proposition. And every time successes and failures will be found. I just hope that we get a honest assessment and some good ideas for improvements for the future.
