There’s a very simple answer which is also the truth.

China tried to suppress news of this outbreak in an attempt to protect their own economic interests for more than a month allowing it to spread globally before anyone realized just how serious it was.

Trump downplayed it too. It’s just the flu. This FOUR days ago
