Except you have absolutely no proof that he was not infected prior to coming to Australia.
You are also remarkably unaware of our quarantine rules. Fun fact for you: the equestrian events in the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 were held in the northern hemisphere because of our quarantine laws.

This is a new virus that seems highly contagious to which there is no native immunity.
We already know left unchecked it can stress public health networks.
Time to stop assuming it will āgo awayā or āisnāt that badā.

Is there overreaction and overhype?
Absolutely.
The solution to that is not to assume thereās nothing to this or spread misinformation.
