No.

Petroleum based? Oh please let it be that people think the “oil” (lipids) used as the carrier for the vaccine is the same “oil” as petroleum. This fits right in with that demographic.

Embarrass yourself.

I’ll take that as a “yes.” The anti-Covid vaxxers think oil (lipids) equal oil (petroleum). Then they use that lack of basic knowledge to claim the vaccines are “petroleum based.” Hilarious and sad all at once.

Just about all the QAnon paranoid pseudoscience checkmarks in once concise statement. Could use some vampires and 5G chips though.

GW…Deaths is just one aspect of this pandemic. It is absolutely wonderful that deaths are down drastically. However you have to understand that while a great number of people who have COVID recover without any issues. But there is a growing number of people who have long lasting and financially costly effects. My brother in law who had a mild case, now has diabetes. It could be his blood sugar was on the cusp anyway…but now since he had covid his blood sugar has gone out of whack, This has been seen in patients with diabetes and then who have gotten covid. Their blood sugar was difficult to control. A lot of Diabetic died due to COVID making it impossible to control their blood sugar and insulin levels.

We have a friend who had COVID a month and a half ago. It was a mild case and he was recovering when all of a sudden he could not breath. They think he was a victim of a delayed cytokine reaction. The Cyto-storm attacked his lungs. He spent almost a month in the hospital, and when he was released he was released with home oxygen, and last week went back into the hospital because he again could not breath. The Cytokine did a great deal of damage to his lungs. While people who post items like you did here are right deaths are drastically down, but COVID has killed 550K people in this country, and it is still creating long term health effects that are requiring medical attention and running up costs to the health care system. This is something that many don’t seem to care about, or worry about. Frankly, I worry about this more than the deaths at this point.

Death rate is not the only statistic that we need to worry about. I am more concerned about the recitivism rate of hospitalizations and longer term medical care of long haulers. And honestly, this is why vaccinations, mask wearing, social distancing precautions are so important. I believe we can get back to being completely open for business once we hit 30 to 40 % of the population vaccinated…on a state by state basis. I think we are finding with the vaccination process, that there are a lot of people like me who have gotten the necessary immune response on the first shot of Pfizer or Moderna instead of on the second shot…because we have likely had covid and didn’t know it. So if we get to 30 to 40 percent vaccinated, there is probably another 30 or 40 percent covered by the fact that they have already had the virus. And this should put as at a high enough number to maintain a herd immunity for the next year or so if not longer.

Ted Nugent everybody. A perfect example of the severe mis-information the CEC deals out.

Definitely not Covid…

The OAN report really irritates me from one point of view. They say in one sentence that hospitals get paid 20% more for treating patients with Covid. Then in the very next sentence they say this means Drs. are getting paid to treat COVID patients.

NO…they are not. That 20 % upcharge goes to the hospital. This covers the costs of treating COVID patience. Costs of PPE, masks, shields, gowns, costs of sanitizing and janitorial services, the costs of purchasing extra equipment to turn rooms into ICU beds, the costs of OVERTIME to nursing and other medical staffs. Drs. ARE NOT GETTING PAID EXTRA to diagnose and treat COVID patients. Hospitals are getting paid to cover the additional expenses from treating these patience.

I am not a hospital administrator, but I work in Health Care. My biweekly payroll has had about a 10% increase in overtime in the last year. I have gone from showing an excess Revenues over Expenses of 500K to 700 K per year to barely 200K this year. Most of that is due to overtime due to round the clock staffing. Since last March, Day Programs which about 80% of my clients attend so we don’t have to staff day time hours, have been closed more than they have been open. This means that instead of 12 to 15 hours of staffing per day, I have been staffing 24/7 for 9 of the last 12 months. The overtime hit has been massive. We even got state funding to help us absorb that loss. This is the cost of doing business in a 24 hour setting such as hospitals, nursing homes, group homes and assisted/supported living homes.

OAN’s reporting is bold in its manufacturing of false facts. Doctors are not getting paid more for treating COVID cases. Hospitals are having their additional costs covered…and anyone providing 24 healthcare support is also getting help through state funding and grants.

Why is this such a hard concept to grasp.

20% of what?

No he’s not lying about when vaccines started.

He’s leaving out when the COVID outbreak began at the Commons…which was BEFORE the vaccines started.

This is an important omission.

PS And it doesn’t matter if the elderly were not let out or visitation was stopped,

Staff wasn’t quarantined with them.

All it would take is one staff member to get infected and he/she could start an outbreak in the nursing home.

No she needs to keep on keeping on.

The entertainment she provides goes well with my pizza.
