Something about them effecting other people’s rights comes to mind. National emergencies Are just that. Not all things called national emergencies fit the bill imo. Like assault weapon legislation but this one certainly does.

Right now I’m listening to my local AM radio talker interviewing some conservative think tanker and they are saying “any life lost is tragic BUT BUT BUT…” yes people have to die now get out and die.

So today Dr. Redfield under oath tells Congress that we are still not close to having a vaccine. And that if everything goes well we will not have enough quantities to get back to normal until Q3 next year. And within the hour the WH announces that Trump would hold a 5pm press conference. And as expected he said that Redfield was completely wrong about the time line and that there will be a vaccine ready to go by the end of October or very early November. He really does believe that the public will buy this lie.

That is pretty stark when you consider all of the high praise that was showered on DeSantis at the beginning of this pandemic, and with him being so slow to react.
