That is a Flu season…Oct-April/May. 6-8 months.
And we’ve lost close to 70,000 in a couple months. See the difference??
Do the deaths of a flu season spread themselves out evenly over the 6-8 months?
All we can do is hope.
There were 16 weeks in 2017-2018 where there were over 1,000 estimated flu deaths a week.
We’ve had over 1,000 confirmed COVID deaths per day for over 30 days.

The week of April 12, we had about the same number of confirmed COVID deaths as we did confirmed flu deaths the entire 2017-2018 season.

The CDC has warned that CV cases and deaths are going to soar with these states opening back up again. A month from now I don’t want to read people saying things like “we didn’t know it would get this bad”

if the projections prove even remotely accurate every governor who relaxed teh lockdown should be charged with murder.

Exactly…Do you? One is preventable, one is not. So you can’t say this is no worse than the seasonal flu, which many the Right and the person I was responding to, was trying to do.
