I’m glad we could agree.

There is a path that leads to a tanked economy and a lot more dead people.

So on one side you have people saying that the nation is not prepared to reopen the economy because we lack the basic tools to track and contain any future outbreaks and until those tools are in place, the safety of the populace should not be put at risk. There should not be a choice between jobs and death. The preparations still need to be made.

On the other you have a Devos backed bit of astroturf stage a protest to open up the economy

https://www.salon.com/2020/04/16/conservative-grouplinked-to-devos-familyorganizes-protest-of-coronavirus-restrictions-in-michigan/

and simultaniouslely Koch funded groups lobbying Congress to shield businesses from liability.

The response to the start of this mess was botched on almost all levels from the Federal to the State to the local.

Let us not botch the mid game of this and set ourselves back to square one.

Oh come one now. Are you not willing to die to save our economy? I know I am.

Indeed. If Trump had not sat on his fat orange ass in February, nobody would have died.

We both know this is not a serious post. So, have fun with your new game. You can have the last word.

He has already used up the benefit of the doubt when he made this joke,

So when he starts stirring up folks that he acknowleged his influence over:

“I think they’re listening,” said Mr Trump. “I think they’re listening to me. They seem to be protesters that like me and respect this opinion, and my opinion is just the same as about all of the governors. They all wanna open – nobody wants to stay shut, but they wanna open safely.”

It’s very difficult for me to conclude that he’s not ginning up trouble in Michigan on purpose.

You neglect to include the human cost of not moving forward.

Here is the plan.

It is a cooperative effort that includes leaders at the local levels.

We are moving forward.

:play_or_pause_button:

So were the protestors already protesting or did he “gin them up”?

You might want to look at the protestor complaints.

Great. Move forward.

Why tweet “Liberate Michigan”?

One thing about the President, he really knows how to tap into anger for political advantage.

The MI restrictions were onerous.

They merited response.

:play_or_pause_button:

Not by him. Not that way.

How are they more onerous than other states?

Please believe they won’t let the fact Trump has literally been quoted admitting it stop them from denying it.

The citizens of Michigan said so.

And four Sheriffs.

But here is a sample of her tremendous logic:

Of course…

Those hotspots will ensure that the virus stays in the US for longer…

I support those sheriffs. Reasonable.
