Well you know the media… they can’t stay away from featuring someone who knows what he is talking about.

Let me guess…you taken this virus serious since January 21…right? :sunglasses:

Really…and you knew all along that this virus was some serious ■■■■■

No one is saying he needs to do it under authority of law.

As has been explained countless times and now again: The president can lead. He needs no more power than that in his microphone.

This is starting to look more like a depression than a recession and we could very likely see the end of EU at this rate. Italy is toast unless they are bailed out by the Germans and Spain isn’t that far behind them.

It is sad politics is being debated on who will come out ahead ahead a democratic or republican. The country is split, trust in media in the gutter. Trust for the other side is going in the gutter. Would have liked to seen the nation come together at this time and point the finger at China not each other. This wouldn’t be the the problem it is now if they would have told the world the truth what was happening over there when it started instead of trying to cover it up.

Yes this is a redstate page, but here is Biden’s coronavirus advisor, who was Obama’s adviser during the Ebola thing, Whoops: Here's What Biden Virus Adviser Ron Klain Was Saying About It in February – RedState

Let’s look at what Biden’s “coronavirus adviser,” Ron Klain, was saying in February. Klain doesn’t have a medical background, he’s a political operative and a lawyer who Barack Obama made his Ebola czar. On February 13, Klain said that we “don’t have a COVID-19 epidemic in the U.S but we are starting to see a fear epidemic.” He then praised NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s call to go to Chinatown, go shopping and “stand with your neighbors” showing a picture of the mayor in a close quarters with several people eating dim sum.

On February 13, Joe Biden’s top coronavirus advisor Ron Klain tweeted: “We don’t have a coronavirus epidemic in the U.S.” He implied “fear” was the bigger threat.

The Coronavirus Task Force created by President Trump began meeting two and a half weeks before this tweet.

On #COVIDー19: If you want to do something useful today, go to Chinatown – buy a meal, go shopping. The virus attacks humans, not people of any ethnicity/race. Fear is hurting Chinese-American owned businesses, baselessly. Let’s fight the disease AND let’s fight prejudice.

So Biden’s top advisor thought any attempt to stop businesses in New York, was racist. Just like Pelosi promoting people gathering to fund businesses in San Francisco’s Chinatown, the same thing in New York. Of course, the New York mayor wanted this too. Biden against the travel ban, his top advisor thought any reaction agains the virus racist, so the idea that Democrats would have done anything better than Trump is fanciful.

What did China have to do with our utterly ■■■■■■ early response to the virus being in our country?

There will be plenty of well deserved vitriol headed China’s way when this is over.

But criticizing our own government’s abysmal response is not a political thing…it’s a “let’s fix this so it doesn’t happen again” thing.

It’s being made political because God forbid Trump and his administration be held accountable for responsible for anything.

Trump is scouring the world for masks for the US.

Leaving other countries out in the cold.

“America first?” or America being a bully?

Still waiting on proof.

I don’t know about the site, the article is from the Telegraph. I tried to find one not behind a wall.

From your article. Wondering why this isn’t more apparent…

Sweden is also updating its statistics to say if someone died from Covid, or of something else – but with Covid. This might reduce the “death” figure by two thirds.

Only it is not abysmal. The travel ban was put in place in time to slow the spread…it was never intended nor possible to use that to keep the virus out completely.
This segued into recommendations for social distancing when it was obvious that was needed.
Sure, one can look at whether this or that should have been done a week early or not, looking at it after the fact and knowing what we know now.
What we know for sure that Trump did better than “hysteria and xenophobia” Biden would do as President.

We have a POTUS who has politicized this from day one. He has made up a new set of names for the Governors who won’t show him the admiration that he expects. In the last few day he has backed off a bit, but the damage has been done. There is no way that this guy is going to be re-elected in November.

Half the complaints are that Trump didn’t procure all the supplies he could get earlier. The other half is that he is grabbing all the supplies.
The only thing these two positions have in common is “get Trump”.

Ummm…remember whom your party is going to be running against him?

Pure speculation. And in November you will see
the end of this nightmare.

Yup. Not a problem.

Still flinging poo to cover for your own being dead wrong on this since your first post on the subject.

Emergency respoinse begins in your comunity, county, State.

Only once those resposes have become overwhelmed does the federal gov’t have any authority to intervene at all much less replace them

Even that can only be done after the Governor asks for a disaster declaration and recieves it.

Of course you know this as it’s bee spelled out to you by more than a dozen posters totaling hundreds of times.

Therefor one must ask, since you know the truth, why do you continue just spewing venom and hate at the current president.,

This administration was taking action before you even took note of the outbreak and dismissed it as nothing worthy of any particular concern.

An initial breakout from the region (aided by the global travel network) followed by practically stasis everywhere except China.

That’s not the sign of a virus about to go hog wild or one that (in one claim I heard) seems ready to infect 60% of the world’s population.

Stay on top of it? Yes

Fear it/panic over it/over hype it? Not in the slightest.

Thank god you’ll never be in a position to make decisions when another outbreak threatens the nation.

Trump was supposed to hop in his time machine going back to October 2019, mapping the genome, and recording every bit of data through the end of the outbreak globally before returning home with all the answers and the perfect plan to keep it from even leaving China to start with.

Thta’s disingenuous at best.

Congress cannot directe pandemic response, that’s the sole purview of the Executive.

What they can to is use their oversight and budget authority to make sure when a disaster does come along, the relevant agencies have what they heed already to combat the disaster.

Execution is the power of the exec, funding and prep lies with congress as does then making up for shortfalls during an ongoing disaster with emergency supplemental funding.
