It doesn’t matter what Trump says he knew he didn’t have the genetic code or any genetic material to sample from to produce a test.

South Korea because of their neighbor to the north who has the largest biological weapons stockpile in the world has greater manufacturing capability, and they do not have a huge bureaucracy to get in the way of an emergency.

There wasn’t even a pandemic declared for more than a month after we started testing and we started working on the test in early December before we even had the complete genetic code.

They were able to start producing a test as soon as they knew it was a coronavirus of a type but they could not complete it until they had the complete genome.
