I said that summer olympics in China was largely a bad idea because of the large amount of air pollution there. People in China are not seen regularly wearing masks because they are germaphobes. They were the masks because it protects their lungs from the crap ton of pollution. Why do we continually have olympic games were pollution is rampant and a danger to the athletes?

The developments come amid an apparent surge of positive cases due to increased in-state and in-city testing
Fun fact. During the Beijing Olympics, they shut down manufacturing facilities in the cities to reduce pollution during the games.

Frankly I’m sick of it.
I believe Brisbane/Gold Coast (Queensland) is thinking about applying for the 2032 summer Olympics.
I know professionally it is affecting my company directly causing major shipping delays of some of our network gear. 1 model in particular which usually ships from Hong Kong with a 30 day lead time from order placed to me recieving the devices has now increased to closer to 60-75 days. 1 order placed in early Jan is scheduled to ship March 30, we should have had them last week normally.

My niece lives near Venice. They’re going on their second week of no school for the kiddos. My sister returned from there 11 days ago baptizing herself in Lysol every step of the way.
