Aren’t grandparents allowed to see their grandkids at other times?

I am sure that one could find examples for several other politicians including Boris Johnson, Donald Trump, Scott Morrison et al. It is not unusual for a section of the population who don’t like a specific politician.

One might even find examples where Nancy Pelosi is involved.

A very misleading paraphrase that omits the part that speaks to waiting for medical advice about the efficacy of the vaccine.

And hence boosters.

Since there are so many fools going unvaxxed boosters are necessary.

Allan

Lol. Some people just can’t admit they are wrong…like the fonz…

Allan

It’s not my definition to change.

Sure it is.

People can google the world. Medical textbooks exists. But whatever makes people happy.

Your profession moved on from logic a long time ago.

The 1/5000 number appears to be based on the fact that less that only a small fraction of 1% of the unvaccinated people get COVID during the time frame a study.

Where is the link to the original study? I still see no link, and I am not going to pay money see the BS from Times.

Ooh. Even better. Glad we have new medical experts using logic around.

The medical profession bases its decisions on consensus, not logic.

Why are we still using 95%? Doesn’t apply to current variants.

Yes. To both.

The great thing is, I don’t doubt you believe that.

I know it to be true.

you are. you do understand math right. if you have a 96% better chance of not getting a disease than someone not vaccinated, then you have a 4% chance of having the same chance of getting the disease as someone not vaccinated. eventually that 4% will catch up to you. so where are all the polio cases?

Even better.

It was the talking point used by Ben_Natuf in this discussion…it’s purely a hypothetical number at this point, but does not change the fact that what he is saying about the efficacy is completely wrong in the standard definition of the word efficacy when talking about vaccines.
