Consenus in Jeopardy (Again)

No matter how loudly a snot-nosed TV addict screams “Consensus!”, there’s never one. Science is never as settled as the faithful demand.

No matter how many outright lies libs knowingly spread about people dying in parking lots because of some conjured up enemy, it will never be true.

No matter how much a generic Karen enjoys hearing themselves speak on his/her/zit’s soapbox, their virtue will always be for the petty sake of performance.

Don’t let miserable people bother you with their lonely need to feel somehow superior.

Baby steps. A leftist rag does not just come out and tell the truth.

I can agree that there has been plenty of virtue signaling and inaccurate science in all of this (from both “sides”), but all that doesn’t really bother me that much. Humans are going to be humans. We’re a very imperfect bunch.

It seems to really, really bother some people though, in a practically incessant, almost obsessive way.

I genuinely wish the “controversy,” constantly fed by both sides, absolutely convinced they have the core truth, would relent, even if just a little.

News flash. Getting an illness from a virus is almost always more effective than getting a vaccine against a virus.

The point of a vaccine is to get enough of a benefit without all the bother of getting ill.

So remember, folks, if you’re one of the vast millions upon millions (well over half of all infections) who were asymptomatic, you don’t need the magic needle, because you were never at risk in the first place.

Not without a huge amount of coaxing and maybe not then.

Yeah… I prefer to skip the step where you get sick.

But if you were a asymptomatic, you would likely never know you had COVID, making you the same as someone who truly never had it, so maybe get the vaccine, because common sense.

On the plus side, some of the rabidly faithful libs are suddenly changing their tune about natural immunity actually existing in spite of their sloped noses

I think the argument was more over herd immunity, no?

A virus so deadly, you have to get tested to know you even had it.

A vaccine so magical, you have to be coerced and blackmailed into taking it.

And the antibody tests we have do not appear to be conclusive yet as to whether you have immunity or not.

I opted out of measles vaccine boosters in college because when I was a kid I got the measles. The antibody test I provided was definitive proof of that.

Such definitive evidence does not yet exist for COVID.

Death is not the only bad outcome from getting COVID.

The faith is talking again:

“We were wrong as usual, but do what we want you to anyway!”

It’s deadly for certain people. See all the dead people.

But It’s not deadly for the vast majority of people. See all the people who didn’t even get symptoms.

How is this news. The goal has always been to prevent the bad hospitalizations and deaths. See number 1 above.

Then they should get vaxxed and be content in knowing that they’re safe by keeping their fat noses out of other people’s business. Agreed.

It’s pretty magical man. Vaccines are a ■■■■■■■ wonder of science. Especially mRNA.

We can be really damn smart when we apply ourselves.

Magic and Science, together in harmony.
