Sherman never became President. And he was a genius. The march through Georgia shortened that war similar to dropping the bombs on Japan. But with a lot less death. He intended to make Georgia howl and he did. They are still butt hurt over it over 150 years later.

Actually, there were 360,000 American deaths. There were 258,000 Confederate deaths as well.

Slaves kinda won,no? I mean, until southerners went full Jim Crow and disenfranchisement and ultimately full Republican.
