They shot the pants off the Yankees. The only reason they lost was one of logistics because the didn’t have a significant source of Iron and lead.

Then of course came the war Crimes of Sherman denuding the countryside by fire as he swept across it starving not only the army but then entirety of the citizenry.

Hell of a “Hero”. A drunken war criminal who became president.

Sherman never became President. And he was a genius. The march through Georgia shortened that war similar to dropping the bombs on Japan. But with a lot less death. He intended to make Georgia howl and he did. They are still butt hurt over it over 150 years later.
