I’m curious if during “opening arguments” next week the Judge will ask for the Constitutional definition of what “impeachment” is and if the Articles of Impeachment submitted by the House actually fulfill that Constitutional definition.
Also, Justice Roberts in his role would do well to rebuke Jerry “Nads” Nadler for his public proclamation of the President’s guilty outcome. I’m fairly sure that has yet to be determined?

Will he rebuke Lindsey Graham for telling the world how he plans to vote?

Or McConnell saying that he intends to fully coordinate with the defendant?

It’s shocking to me that you guys want to clear the way for the next D POTUS to use his office to pressure foreign powers to investigate his/her political opponents.

And for that President to stonewall all Congressional oversight. Are these really the precedents the Republicans want to stand behind?

The only thing I can think of is that they truly see him as “one of them”.

Hopefully the lesson to be learned by any future president (or really any government official):

Don’t solicit foreign governments to go after political opponents to help win domestic elections. And don’t illegally withhold congressional military aid to help win domestic elections.

The only thing I can think of is that they truly see him as “one of them”.

They are so wedded to not being wrong that they will see the grossest misconduct as just doing business.

That’s the other thing I don’t understand. How did admitting one’s opinion was wrong become a character flaw instead of a sign of integrity?

BTW, Nadler is in teh house - and is the prosecution for the impeachment. Graham is jurist.
