Dyker Heights for sure. Bay Ridge, maybe today. I lived in the area during the wars of the 70s and I didn’t think Bay Ridge was really a big part of it then.
No kidding? That must have been an interesting time. Before I was born. I’m more familiar with stories of the 91-93 war. Never lived in New York, but I have met a lot of people who have stories.
Just because a city has a nice area doesn’t mean it’s a place people desire, it’s often a place people are stuck living in. People just happened to find an enclave that wasn’t yet defiled.
What’s this thread about and where did it take place? It didn’t surprise me in the slightest. I wasn’t like, WoW, really? Brooklyn? That wasn’t the case. The shoe fits.
