Right now at the harbor (refinery) they are paying $1.96

And we’re buying it at the gas station for $2.90-$3.10 a gallon.

In NY you are paying a lot more (about 20-cents/gal) . . . and I am pretty sure you use the same harbor and same refinery so it must be a NY thing.

I am sure it’s taxes etc

My local Walmart does not have Valencia (juice) oranges at the moment, but navel oranges are only $1.12 a lb.

According to MS CoPilot that means I can make my own fresh-squeezed OJ for about the same price as the brand-name OJ.

Hmmmmm

Still over $3 here. $3.29 today. It has not been below $3 in I can’t tell you when.

Demand for orange juice is inverse to the shortage of eggs. Coffee is always in demand regardless of what else is available or not.

What state? NJ always had some of the lowest gas prices. But 4-5 years ago, they dramatically raised the gas tax. It was around .10 cents a gallon. Now it’s .45 cents.

Is that because its residents can’t pump their own gas?

18oz bag of Peet’s coffee still holding at 12.98 on Amazon for the last 3 years, which is up 0.40 from 4 years ago.

Just an FYI
Everything produces CO2 but we only tax it sometimes.
(I think that is because it is not really about the CO2)

Idaho.

You would think gas prices would be higher because it’s illegal to pump your own gas. But every time I leave the state, prices are higher.

This probably belongs in the useless info thread, but I start every day with a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. Ironically, I have no clue what I pay for either. I simply put them in my grocery cart without ever having looked at the price.

Let me make a suggestion. If you drink the coffee first, brush your teeth afterwards, then pour yourself a tall glass of orange juice. Drink it, then come back and describe to me the results.

Just the opposite. Orange juice is first. I then toast and butter my favorite bread to eat with a cup of coffee.

Don’t do it anyway. It was a joke. It i not recommended to drink orange juice right after brushing your teeth. The experience is less than pleasant from what I hear.

They are some price gouging even I have to admit it, where I live it’s $3.40 for regular but my car you can only put super unloaded if I drive 10 miles out into the country. It drops down to $2.52 a gallon.

Don’t follow or am concerned about the price of orange juice. Don’t drink it, too much sugar.

Coffee on the other hand…that’s my life blood. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bag of beans we usually buy has gone from $12.99 a bag to $15.99 a bag in just 2 weeks. Ugh.
