CNN President Jeff Zucker stunned political insiders across both sides of the aisle during a recent interview, confirming he was “still interested” in eventually running for office; though failing to specify which race and where.
Zucker was speaking with former Obama official David Axelrod this week when he was asked to comment on his future should he leave CNN, saying “somewhere in my gut I’m still very interested in politics.”
"With regard to be where I’ll be in five years … I don’t know for sure where I’ll be but here’s the two things I do know: if the Miami Dolphins call, that’s where I’ll be,” said the CNN boss. “And number two, I still harbor somewhere in my gut that I’m still very interested in politics.”
“So, I’m still interested in that, and it’s something I would consider,” Zucker said.
